AWARE is hiring a Peer Support Technician/Specialist to provide recovery-focused peer counseling, mentoring, advocacy, coordination, and direct assistance to adults, children, and families. The role requires a high school diploma or HSE, past employment experience, two years of active participation in mental health self-help, peer support, peer advocacy, or participant-run organizations, and the ability to disclose a recovery story. Candidates must complete 40 hours of training and an assessment within six months of hire, then pass a required test and maintain the credential. Compensation is $17.00–$18.86 per hour initially, rising to $20.00–$22.08 per hour after successful completion of the training and assessment.
