The Housing Authority of the City of Aurora is hiring a Peer Specialist for The Sanctuary on Potomac, a 43-unit Permanent Supportive Housing project. The role provides engagement, mentorship, recovery support, skills development, community integration, resource navigation, and advocacy to residents, while maintaining at least 25 billable hours per week and collaborating with case managers and supportive-services staff. The position requires a valid Colorado Peer and Family Specialist or National Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist credential, direct lived experience with homelessness or recovery, and strong relationship-building and documentation skills. It is scheduled for Thursday through Sunday, four 10-hour shifts, with an anticipated start date around November 2026 and a salary of $52,500-$53,750.
