PennDOT is hiring a full-time CDL Operator Trainee to receive training and gain experience operating heavy trucks, loaders, and other highway-maintenance equipment while performing manual labor, safety checks, field adjustments, repairs, and environmental-compliance tasks. The role works Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with no telework option, and offers a starting annual salary of $42,347.00 for new Pennsylvania employees. Applicants must hold an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent, an active Class A or B commercial driver's learner's permit, and a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate, and must demonstrate successful operation of equipment with a manual transmission.
