Description
Thundermist Health Center is hiring a per diem Float Nurse Practitioner to provide autonomous, walk-in and same-day medical care in its ambulatory Convenient Care locations. The role includes evaluating and treating acute illness and injury, performing point-of-care testing and minor procedures, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, triaging patients, coordinating follow-up, maintaining records, and mentoring nurse practitioner students. The position requires active Rhode Island RN and NP licensure, ANA certification in a specified specialty, strong communication and medical terminology skills, and ongoing professional development. It is an onsite, rotating schedule covering evenings, weekends, and holidays, with occasional overtime.
