9 Mothers is hiring a full-time, onsite Perception Engineer in Austin, Texas to own the computer vision and machine learning stack for real-time detection, classification, and tracking of sUAS threats in counter-drone systems. The role covers end-to-end perception pipeline development, model training and optimization for Jetson-class edge hardware, dataset and simulation pipelines, inference performance, evaluation metrics, and delivery of target state information to the controls subsystem. Candidates need at least six years of computer vision or machine learning experience, including production deployment on edge hardware, along with Python, PyTorch or JAX, and C++ or Rust skills.
