Saildrone is hiring a Perception Engineer to develop and deploy perception, localization, state-estimation, multi-object tracking, and sensor-fusion algorithms for autonomous unmanned surface vehicles. The role involves processing camera and radar data, implementing production C++ software, analyzing real-world vehicle data, integrating capabilities with the autonomy stack, and validating systems on physical vehicles. Candidates need hands-on C++ development, robotics and perception experience, sensor-system calibration experience, and debugging and benchmarking experience; probabilistic estimation, field deployment, and Python experience are preferred.
