Description
OpenAI is hiring an experienced Performance Engineer to improve the performance, reliability, and efficiency of mission-critical AI systems, including ChatGPT and the developer API. The role focuses on root-cause analysis, profiling, instrumentation, architecture-level improvements, production scalability investigations, observability tooling, performance testing, and SLA/SLO definition across application, middleware, runtime, networking, storage, Python, GPU, and other infrastructure layers. The position is a highly technical individual contributor role requiring at least seven years of software engineering experience and strong expertise in high-scale distributed systems.
