Description
The Performance Engineer will support Byte Platform performance testing across complex distributed systems, databases, and large clustered datasets. The role partners with Engineering, Quality Engineering, Product, and SRE teams to design and execute performance test strategies, analyze metrics and infrastructure data, troubleshoot bottlenecks, evaluate scalability and capacity, maintain testing frameworks and automation, and guide POD teams. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, at least five years of performance engineering experience, experience with k6 and Datadog, advanced JavaScript or TypeScript skills, microservices and AWS/Kubernetes experience, and strong root-cause analysis and communication abilities. The salary range is $109,400 to $128,600 annually plus bonus eligibility.
