Description
This role involves assembling, priming, re-circulating, and testing extracorporeal circuits before initiating heart-lung bypass. The individual will monitor and observe the operation of the heart-lung machine, make necessary adjustments based on patient physiology, administer medications and blood components, and disassemble and clean perfusion equipment after procedures. Additional responsibilities include ordering supplies, obtaining blood samples, performing advanced blood therapies like PRP and hemofiltration, and conducting autotransfusion.
