CEA is hiring a permanent Engineer-Researcher, Metallurgical Processes & Industrialization (Materials for Energy) to assess the industrial feasibility of oxide dispersion strengthened (ODS) steel cladding for fast-neutron reactors. The role involves analyzing ODS alloy manufacturing processes, defining and overseeing laboratory-to-pilot-scale trials, improving manufacturability, characterizing microstructures and mechanical properties, exploring alternative cladding materials, and supporting scientific leadership and knowledge transfer. The position is based in Saclay, France, and requires a PhD in materials science, metallurgy, process engineering, or mechanical engineering, along with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
