Description
The PRN Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs PET and nuclear medicine procedures in an outpatient setting, coordinates and executes scans, obtains patient histories, checks blood glucose, orders radiopharmaceuticals, calibrates doses, administers radioactive materials, performs equipment and radiation-safety checks, and maintains patient confidentiality and customer service. The position is scheduled as needed and requires a high school diploma or GED, graduation from an approved nuclear medicine school, registration with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board, and a current Florida Nuclear Medicine License; two or more years of certified nuclear technologist experience is preferred.
