Description
The Petroleum Inspector tests, samples, measures, and reconciles bulk liquid or gaseous hydrocarbon or chemical cargo transfers between shore tanks, barges, and ships. The role follows API and SGS procedures, completes inspection reports, coordinates with clients, customs, vessel personnel, government agents, and shore facilities, and maintains safety, integrity, and industry standards. A high school education, valid driver’s license, and 6 months to 2 years of transferrable industry experience are required or preferred; the role also requires basic English, mathematical, communication, computer, and physical capabilities.
