Description
The Pharmacist provides clinical pharmacy support and medication distribution services in coordination with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities include reviewing and profiling medication orders, dispensing and compounding medications, managing controlled substances, supporting outpatient and hospice pharmacy operations, performing drug monitoring and pharmacokinetic consultations, educating staff and patients, and maintaining pharmacy records and regulatory compliance. The role requires a PharmD or pharmacy bachelor’s degree, Pennsylvania pharmacist licensure or authorization to obtain within 90 days, and may involve rotating shifts, standby or on-call work, local travel between Independence Health locations, and exposure to hazardous pharmaceutical and clinical environments.
