Description
The Pharmacist compiles and dispenses medications and pharmaceutical supplies, interprets physician orders, prepares IV and other pharmaceutical preparations, reviews patient profiles for safe drug therapy, and supports clinical, quality, regulatory, and education programs. The role also supervises pharmacy technical support staff, maintains aseptic and controlled-substance security, and coordinates pharmacy activities with the Director of Pharmacy. It requires a pharmacy degree, a current state license, BCLS certification, at least three months of pharmacy experience, and knowledge of relevant healthcare guidelines.
