Description
The Pharmacist provides direction and oversight of routine and emergency drug acquisition, disposition, handling, storage, accountability, and administration; reviews drug reference materials; assists in training and supervising departmental personnel; performs clinical pharmacy functions; advises medical and nursing staff on medication use; manages controlled substances; prepares clinical interventions and drug-interaction checks; and serves as a drug-information resource for the hospital. The role requires New York State pharmacy registration and licensure, a pharmacy school program, and a Bachelor of Science or Pharm.D. degree.
