Description
The Principal Pharmacist will lead the Cost of Health Care and Specialty Drug Management Pharmacy team, overseeing specialty pharmacy networks, limited distribution drug access, specialty-at-retail initiatives, direct drug distribution partnerships, and specialty pharmacy programs. The role manages network performance, utilization, reimbursement, access, service levels, and financial outcomes; develops programs such as short fill, biosimilar, site-of-care, and affordability initiatives; partners with internal teams, vendors, manufacturers, and pharmacy networks; and uses analytics to evaluate trends and recommend improvements. The position requires a U.S. PharmD, an active California Registered Pharmacist license, four years of clinical pharmacy experience, and experience in specialty pharmacy, managed care, pharmacy benefit design, specialty networks, LDD programs, biosimilar strategies, program evaluation, and pharmacy benefit management leadership. The role is hybrid, with employees generally required to work in the office two days per week.
