Description
The Pharmacist interprets physician prescriptions and medication orders, reviews and compiles medications, dispenses pharmaceuticals, prepares IV admixtures and extemporaneous parenteral products, monitors patient medication profiles, provides drug information, and maintains pharmacy records and quality-control procedures. The role requires a pharmacy degree or equivalent, graduation from an accredited school of pharmacy, and current Kansas pharmacist licensure and certification.
