Description
The Pharmacy Intern assists the Director of Pharmacy, Pharmacy Managers, Team Leaders, and Pharmacists in preparing, distributing, and documenting medications after receiving physician orders. The role requires enrollment in a college of pharmacy and registration as a pharmacy intern with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy; prior hospital, long-term care, or retail experience is preferred but not required. The intern must communicate effectively, work as part of a healthcare team, use computer and keyboard skills, calculate medication ratios and percentages, and be flexible with scheduling.
