Description
The Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists with prescription and medication/medical supply order processing, pharmacy computer entry, inventory maintenance, sales transactions, and customer and medical staff information. The role also handles paper and electronic third-party insurance claims. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with registration with the state Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician; pharmacy technical education, pharmacy work experience, medical terminology, billing, and customer relations experience are preferred.
