Description
The Pharmacy Technician assists the pharmacist with preparing IV admixtures and other drugs, placing wholesaler orders for stock replacement, and supporting pharmacy management at the LS or GS pharmacy as needed. The role requires a high school education or equivalent, a Pharmacy Technician License or Trainee-License, basic mathematics, medical terminology, aseptic technique, drug-distribution knowledge, communication skills, familiarity with pharmacy stock and distribution procedures, drug nomenclature, dosage calculations, prescription-reading ability, and IV admixture experience.
