Description
The Pharmacy Technician coordinates pharmacy operations across automation, information services, pharmaceutical waste management, regulatory readiness, purchasing, inventory control, controlled-substance diversion monitoring, and related areas. The role provides pharmacy technician services, supports automated dispensing systems, maintains drug and user databases, monitors medication restocking and narcotic accounting, investigates chain-of-custody concerns, assists with training and scheduling, and coordinates with nursing, pharmacy, and other multidisciplinary teams. It requires a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of inpatient or pharmacy technician experience, Michigan pharmacy technician licensure, and availability for on-call support and designated shifts.
