Description
The Pharmacy Technician works in a closed-door, office-style long-term care pharmacy setting under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Responsibilities include customer service, triaging prescription requests, prioritizing workflow, researching order variances, entering and reviewing orders, initiating urgent pharmacy procedures, coordinating backup pharmacy needs, and serving as a liaison between the pharmacy and customer healthcare centers. The position requires a National Certified Pharmacy Technician credential or the ability to earn it within 90 days of employment; pharmacy experience or graduation from a Pharmacy Technician Certification Program is preferred.
