Description
The Department of Cardiology and Pneumology is seeking a PhD candidate for a translational cardiovascular research program using porcine large-animal models. The role involves contributing to cardiovascular research projects, learning cardiovascular ultrasound and interventional procedures under general anesthesia, coordinating large-animal procedures, monitoring and caring for animals, and presenting research findings and publications. Applicants should have a veterinary or comparable life-science degree, strong interest in translational cardiovascular research, and good English; animal-handling experience is desirable but not mandatory. The position offers structured training and a fixed-term two-year appointment at 65% of the applicable salary level under the German Public Sector Collective Agreement.
