Description
The Robert Bosch GmbH is hiring a PhD candidate to develop a reusable, cartridge-compatible microfluidic sample-preparation unit operation based on magnetic beads for next-generation molecular diagnostics. The project involves literature research, multiphysics modeling with COMSOL, design and prototyping of a microfluidic handling module, experimental characterization of recovery, processing time, and reproducibility, and translation of models into design rules for disposable diagnostic cartridges. The role requires a master's degree in a relevant biomedical or engineering field, strong microfluidics and multiphysics knowledge, practical lab-on-a-chip experience, and fluent German and English; the project starts in October 2026.
