Description
The PhD project investigates nanoscale charge-carrier dynamics in silicon-based photovoltaic devices using off-axis electron holography, ultrafast lasers, pulsed electron beams, and transmission electron microscopy. The candidate will prepare specimens, operate optical and electron-microscopy systems, characterize electrostatic potentials and carrier lifetimes, analyze recombination and defect-related processes, and document results. The position is based in Jülich, initially limited to three years, and offers flexible working arrangements after consultation.
