Lund University is hiring one full-time PhD student in control engineering focused on data-center control for the AEGIS project. The research will develop control systems that translate high-level goals into coordinated actions for cooling, batteries, and computing hardware, while adapting power–performance and thermal models online using classical control, AI, and reinforcement learning. The position includes research projects, doctoral courses, seminars, conferences, and up to 20% teaching and departmental work. Applicants must meet third-cycle eligibility, control-engineering requirements, and MSCA criteria, with a starting salary of SEK 35,900 per month at the 2026 salary level.
