Description
The Senior Phlebotomist identifies patients, draws blood samples, labels specimens, coordinates laboratory workflow, maintains records, and may perform waived or moderate-complex tests. The role may supervise and train lower-level phlebotomists, support quality and infection-control standards, and assist with sample preparation and test-result analysis. Requirements include one year of phlebotomy experience, proficiency with all age groups, a high school education or equivalent, and possible Louisiana Medical Lab Assistant licensure within six months if performing waived or moderate-complex testing.
