Description
The Phlebotomist will draw blood and other specimens from patients, label and track samples, transport them to the laboratory, centrifuge samples, and follow infection-control and quality-control procedures. The role also includes verifying requisitions, performing bedside glucose and bleeding-time tests, and communicating with patients, nurses, physicians, and pathologists. It is scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and requires a high school or GED, prior medical, healthcare, or phlebotomy experience, or Medical Assistant certification.
