Description
Performs phlebotomy and heel-stick procedures for patients ranging from infants to geriatric adults, including immunosuppressed, cancer, and morbidly obese patients, to collect laboratory specimens. The role includes reviewing orders in Epic and related systems, specimen labeling and handling, infection-control compliance, patient communication, training new staff, supporting research protocols and product evaluations, maintaining supplies and devices, performing EKGs, and working scheduled evening, weekend, and holiday coverage onsite.
