Description
The Phlebotomist I collects and processes blood and other specimens, verifies orders, enters data, obtains identification, collects payments, and prepares specimens for transport. The role also handles inventory, supplies, sanitation, filing, phone and email duties, and required training. It is scheduled Monday through Friday from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM with rotational weekends, and offers shift differentials for second- and third-shift hours. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; medical or paramedic training and phlebotomy certification are preferred, with certification required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
