Description
The Phlebotomist I collects and processes blood and other specimens, verifies orders, enters data, obtains identification, collects payments, and prepares specimens for transport. The role also includes inventory, sanitation, filing, phone and email support, and completion of required training. It is scheduled Monday through Friday from 6:15 AM to 2:45 PM with rotational weekends, pays $20.00 to $21.45 per hour, and requires a high school diploma or equivalent, English communication ability, and preferably medical or paramedic training, phlebotomy certification, one year of phlebotomy experience, customer-service experience, and keyboard or data-entry experience.
