Description
Nu Quantum is hiring a full-time, permanent Photonic Design Engineer in Cambridge, United Kingdom, to design and optimise passive and active photonic components for scalable quantum networking systems. The role involves photonic circuit simulation, device modelling, fabrication and foundry collaboration, PDK and design-library development, experimental validation, and cross-functional work on switch networks. Candidates need a postgraduate qualification in photonics or a related field, experience with photonic device design and simulation, proficiency with tools such as Lumerical and GDSFactory, and knowledge of optical waveguide theory and integrated optics.
