Lightmatter is hiring a Photonics Hardware Validation Engineer to design, develop, and build photonic test systems for the characterization and validation of silicon photonics-based optical interconnect products. The role supports chip bring-up, test-plan development, lab equipment setup, electro-optic and link-level testing, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration with device, hardware, software, and design teams. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, or a related field, hands-on bench-test experience, electro-optic testing expertise, and basic automation scripting skills. The position offers a base salary of $177,000–$240,000 USD, equity, and a flexible hybrid workplace model.
