Description
Google is hiring a Physical Design Engineer to own end-to-end synthesis-to-GDS implementation of complex physical partitions and subsystems, improve power, performance, area, and schedule, and collaborate with RTL, design verification, design for testability, CAD, and machine learning teams. The role covers sign-off convergence, static timing analysis, electromigration and IR checks, physical verification, power distribution network analysis, and physical design optimizations. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience, four years of physical design experience, experience with high-performance synthesis, place-and-route, sign-off optimizations, and TCL/Python programming.
