Mesa Associates, Inc. is hiring a Physical Engineer I for its Power Delivery Substation engineering design team in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The role performs physical substation design and supporting documentation for 69kV to 500kV projects, including arrangement plans, equipment layouts, conduit and cabling, grounding, lighting, calculations, specifications, reports, and drawings. The engineer coordinates with other disciplines, supports project execution and construction issues, reviews work for accuracy, mentors designers, and contributes to process improvements. The position requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field, 4–5 years of progressively responsible experience in 69kV to 500kV physical substation design, and a Professional Engineer license.
