Mesa Associates, Inc. is hiring a Physical Engineering Specialist I for its Power Delivery Substation engineering design team in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The role performs physical substation design work for 69kV to 500kV projects, including arrangement plans, equipment layouts, conduit and cabling, grounding, lighting, calculations, specifications, reports, drawings, and supporting documentation. The specialist coordinates with other disciplines, supports project execution and quality, assists with construction issues and bid packages, and mentors other designers. The position requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field, 4–5 years of progressively responsible experience in 69kV to 500kV physical substation design, and preferably a Professional Engineer designation; Microsoft Office and AutoCAD knowledge are also required.
