Mesa Associates, Inc. is hiring a Substation Physical Engineering Manager to lead a small team of substation physical engineers, designers, and drafters on medium- to large-scale transmission substation projects. The role combines technical design and review of equipment, structural, foundation, grounding, and cable-routing work with client-facing scope management, PE sign/seal authority, quality assurance, team development, and proposal support. It requires an ABET-accredited engineering degree, an active Professional Engineer license, at least six years of substation/utility experience including four years of substation physical design, and expertise with AutoCAD, Bentley MicroStation, and grounding analysis tools. The position is based in Mesa’s Knoxville, Tennessee office and requires in-person work with periodic client-site travel.
