Description
The Physical Engineer will design and check general arrangements, equipment plans, elevations, sections, control-house layouts, grounding, conduit and cable systems, bills of material, and cable schedules for electrical substations. The role also includes equipment selection and specification, substation design submittals, procurement recommendations, client and internal coordination, mentorship, multi-project work, and engineering cost estimating. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program and 2–5+ years of physical electrical design experience in substations.
