Description
This position involves evaluating and treating patients of all ages suffering from various functional impairments such as loss of upper/lower extremities function, balance, coordination, endurance, pain, wounds, or burns caused by illness, trauma, or surgery. The physical therapist designs and implements treatment plans, documents progress, educates patients and families, evaluates muscle strength, range of motion, endurance, balance, pain, skin integrity, and overall function levels. They also participate in interdisciplinary meetings, supervise student therapists and aides, and ensure safe and compassionate care adherence to safety protocols and national goals.
