Description
The Department of Corrections, Division of Health and Rehabilitation Services is recruiting a Physician Assistant/Advanced Practice Registered Nurse 1 for the Anchorage Correctional Center in Anchorage, Alaska. The role provides in-person and telehealth psychiatric care to mentally ill offenders across the state, assesses and responds to mental health disorders, drug and alcohol-related symptoms, and suicidal inmates, and prescribes Schedule II-V medications as appropriate. The position works under the supervision of the Chief Mental Health Officer as part of a multidisciplinary mental health team, including on-call coverage, and is primarily based at the secure correctional facility with telehealth services to rural locations.
