Description

The Physician will serve the U.S. Army Human Resources Command at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, or Fort Knox, Kentucky, adjudicating soldier fitness and disability claims using medical records, Medical Evaluation Board and Physician Evaluation Board case files, and other evidence. The role includes applying medical and regulatory disability-system standards, serving on informal and formal boards, investigating disability severity and compensability, and participating in hearings. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, hold an active unrestricted physician license, complete an accredited residency and four years of graduate specialty training, and meet Army employment requirements including background, security, immunization, and drug-screening procedures.
