Description

The Physician serves under the U.S. Army Human Resources Command and adjudicates soldier fitness and disability claims using medical records, Medical Evaluation Board and Physician Evaluation Board case files, and other case evidence. The role investigates the nature, cause, severity, permanency, and compensability of disabilities; participates in formal hearings; and applies medical and regulatory aspects of the disability system. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, hold an accredited medical degree, maintain an active unrestricted physician license, complete accredited residency and five years of independent clinical practice, and meet background, security, drug-screening, and BLS requirements.
