Description
The Physician, OB/GYN examines, diagnoses, treats, and manages hospitalized and outpatient patients; monitors and treats patients during pregnancy and childbirth; prescribes medications and treatment regimens; orders and interprets laboratory, radiographic, and advanced imaging tests; performs surgical procedures; coordinates care with other medical professionals; and conducts discharge planning and follow-up. The role requires an MD or DO degree, completion of an OB/GYN residency program, a Pennsylvania medical license, and current DEA, BLS, and other required clearances. It involves rotating shifts, standby and on-call work, local travel between Excela Health locations, and direct patient care.
