Applied Materials is hiring a full-time Physicist for its R&D team in Rehovot, Israel, to develop next-generation scanning electron microscopy systems. The role involves developing SEM columns, detectors, imaging techniques, and related physical models; performing experimental laboratory work; conducting electron-optics simulations and electron-matter interaction modeling; leading investigations; and collaborating with R&D disciplines and external research organizations. Candidates should have a PhD in experimental or applied physics, experimental physics experience, laboratory experience, and simulation experience with Python or Matlab; SEM/TEM, particle accelerator, solid-state, or semiconductor industry experience is advantageous.
