Description
The Mechanical Installation Technician installs and secures mechanical equipment and piping for water and wastewater treatment plants. Duties include measuring and marking installation areas, checking slopes with levels or lasers, installing lubricants, seals, and gaskets, and using hand or power tools to attach equipment and piping to structures. The role requires reading plans, knowledge of materials and installation methods, and the ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for four-hour periods.
