Description
The Industrial Pipe Fitter assembles, layouts, installs, maintains, and tests steam, fluid, and gas pipe systems, including valves, flanges, supports, gauges, hangars, and angles. The role works across construction and maintenance sites, including buildings, outdoor areas, underground excavations, and heights up to 300 feet. It requires at least four years of industrial pipe-fitting or pipe-fitter-helper experience, blueprint and technical-manual reading, industrial construction or maintenance experience, and knowledge of industrial piping and boiler components for combined-cycle power plants. The position oversees helper and labor positions on occasion and requires strong safety, communication, problem-solving, and manual-dexterity skills.
