The Ship Pipefitter installs, maintains, repairs, and tests shipboard piping systems, including steam, hot water, hydraulic, air, and oil lines. The role involves interpreting blueprints, cutting, threading, bending, supporting, connecting, soldering, repairing valves, and performing pressure and leak tests. Candidates need at least five years of pipefitting experience, advanced shipboard piping skills, blueprint interpretation, welding and soldering ability, and a high school diploma or equivalent.
