Description
The Industrial Pipe Fitter assembles, layouts, installs, maintains, and tests steam, fluid, and gas piping systems, including valves, flanges, supports, gauges, hangars, and angles. The role requires reading blueprints and technical manuals, fabricating and fitting pipe, installing components, performing quality tests, and using rigging equipment. It also involves working in construction or maintenance sites, underground areas, heights up to 300 feet, and outdoor conditions, with physical demands including prolonged standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, and wearing personal protective equipment. The position requires at least four years of industrial pipe-fitting or pipe-fitter-helper experience, industrial construction or maintenance experience, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
