Description
The Structural Metal Helper assists an assigned crew by reading blueprints and specifications, determining material scope, and laying out, positioning, aligning, and fitting fabricated structural-metal parts. The role also sets up face blocks, jigs, and fixtures; marks centerlines and reference points; and positions braces, jacks, clamps, ropes, or bolt straps for welding or riveting. The position requires at least three years of industrial construction or maintenance experience and involves physically demanding work including climbing, lifting, kneeling, and repetitive motions.
