Description
The Pipefitter is responsible for planning, laying out, and performing all types of pipe welding and fabrication work in accordance with plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. The role includes maintaining crew relationships, producing safe and high-quality work, inspecting subordinate work, eliminating waste, and sharing knowledge. It requires at least three years of industrial or commercial construction experience, proficiency with trade mathematics, the ability to read drawings and isometrics, successful weld testing, and effective communication. The position involves hard physical work, including shifts up to 12 hours, climbing and balancing on elevated structures, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in varying temperatures and outside conditions.
